Women’s Self-Defense Series- Coming in June
At Wild’s Edge Fitness, we believe strength is about more than workouts.
It’s about feeling capable in your body.
It’s about confidence.
It’s about trusting yourself.
And sometimes, it’s about knowing what to do when something feels wrong.
This upcoming Women’s Self-Defense Series is designed for high school and college-age young women and their mothers who want practical, approachable self-defense skills in a supportive, women-centered environment.
No previous experience is required.
This is not about fear.
It’s about awareness, boundaries, confidence, and practical skills you can actually remember and use.
Over the course of this 6-week series, participants will practice simple, repeatable tools for recognizing unsafe situations, using their voice, creating space, and responding with confidence.
Just like strength training, these skills get better with repetition. The goal is not perfection. The goal is practice, confidence, and feeling more prepared.
This series is designed for:
-High school-age young women
-College-age young women
-Mothers who want to learn alongside their daughters
-Women who want to feel more confident and prepared
-Beginners with no self-defense background
-Anyone who wants to build awareness, boundaries, and practical skills
Participants do not need to be current Wild’s Edge clients.
Participants will learn and practice:
-Situational awareness
-Recognizing warning signs
-Using your voice clearly and confidently
-Boundary-setting
-Creating distance and space
-Basic strikes
-Escapes from common grabs or holds
-Responding under stress
-Building confidence through repetition
The focus will be on skills that are practical, approachable, and repeatable.
